About Me

I grew up in Townsville, North Queensland, doing theatre and music and generally being a bit of a dork. I moved to Adelaide in 2002 to study Winemaking. Realising (several months into my second year) that I (a) didn't enjoy science and (b) preferred beer, I did what anyone else would do in my situation and transferred to an arts degree, majoring in English and Philosophy. This worked out quite well for me, as I wasn't required to know anything about science and had several tutorials in the UniBar. Somewhere in there, I learnt to play bass and write html, among other things.

Five years after moving to Adelaide, I graduated from an Arts degree. Not deterred by this experience, I carried on and completed an Honours degree in Philosophy. I wrote my thesis on the ethics of truthfulness in government communication, making numerous Terry Pratchett references along the way.

After graduation, I worked for three years in University Administration, started a Masters Degree in Public Relations, and then moved to country New South Wales. I'm now studying, writing, photographing, crafting, and getting into mischief. As previously mentioned, I sometimes feel like the living embodiment of the caveat "actual results may vary". I can but try.
